This one brings back a flashback of all the seasons of life, lived in these past three decades, in God-speed. And, when the movie in my mind’s eye ends, the thought-compass steadies in on one purpose of life. Just one. Simple, hell yes! Easy, hell no!
My personal mission statement is to simply walk the talk, i.e. dance to the tune of my soul.

Quick Side Note:
As a general rule, a personal mission statement includes the following non-negotiables:
- What do you want to give back to the human community?
- How do you want to make that contribution in this world?
- Why and How are your ways and goals aligned to your value system?
The statement shared here does not quite follow this syntax, though. Basically, a personal mission statement is meant to be the guiding star that tells you which maps to navigate through in life. As Stephen Covey writes, you can be absolutely amazing at reading maps and finding your way around town, but if you do not have the map of the city you are supposed to be in, none of these skills can help you reach your destination. Of course, our mission evolves with time and experience. It also changes with our increasing acceptance of our core characteristics and unique personality traits. The personal mission statement begins with where your heart is and ends in the service of the world, all anchored around your “why“.
