Life: Simple, Not Easy

Bloganuary writing prompt
Where can you reduce clutter in your life?

I’ll keep this one short. Here’s my cardinal three:

  1. The overwhelming clutter of flashbacks to incidences you feel the need to explain and defend and break down your legit rational capacity so that the world can validate your decisions. Well, if they get it, they get it. If they don’t, they might. Give it time. If they just don’t, you’re still fine. And so are they. Live and let live.
  2. The ocean of tasks that you have convinced yourself that you and only you can do for the family you love and the profession you have chosen. What exactly are you worried about? Are you worried that it’ll not get done? OR Are you worried that it’ll not get done your way? You could grant everyone a chance to learn on the go and become as self-sufficient a person as you have transformed into simply by taking a step back. And maybe, without instructions unless asked for. Worth a try at least.
  3. The globe of people you try to fit into your innermost circle. I’ll leave it at that. You do you. Only you’d know your emotional capacity to create meaningful connections with others. Just be true to yourself. That’s all.
