Gender Expectations

The irrationality of (gendered) social expectations is this:

Men are expected to have all the knowledge of the world right from birth, yet never really understand anything or take any responsibility for their behaviour; and misbehave enough to man up, whatever that means, but not as much as to end up in prison.

Women are expected to not know anything at all, not considered to be good at anything on earth, and yet understand everything about themselves, and everyone else they happen to even walk past; and take responsibility for their behaviour, for how any random person responds to their behaviour, and for the behaviour of anyone and everyone even remotely existing in their lives.

Someone please tell me how any of this adds up.
