🍀 Not everything about women needs to be “beautiful and sexy”, and not everything about men needs to be “powerful and rich”.
🍀 Yes, hormones have a role to play in the ageing process and hence, visible differences exist.
🍀 Yet, let’s not forget that the leisure to maintain healthier lifestyle choices and self-care habits comes from equal access to time and resources for both genders, during their adolescence and young adulthood.
🍀 Let’s not overlook the impact of social expectations and perceptions on how men and women live through in their later years.
🍀 Let’s also consciously change the narrative to tear down the inherent gender stereotypes (mostly misogyny) in social perceptions of ageing.
